Kathrying Beall
Head Coach Nichols College & Gold Star Club

Kathryn Beall begins her third season as head women’s lacrosse coach in 2017 and second as the college’s compliance officer. She is also an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team.

Six of Beall’s student-athletes were named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference Team in 2016 – three more than the previous year. In 2015, she also coached a pair of Nichols College Athletes of the Year in Brooke Marion (Sophomore Female) and Grace Murphy (Senior Female).

Bell was a four-year standout lacrosse student-athlete at nearby Assumption College, from which she graduated in May, 2014 with a degree in marketing. A two-year captain for the Greyhounds, Beall was named to the Northeast-10 Second Team in 2014 after tallying 22 points (19-3-22), 38 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers. Following her senior campaign, she participated in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association/DeBeer Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game.

For her career, Beall appeared in 63 games (60 starts) and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in draw controls with 175. She also collected 124 ground balls, which is No. 10 in program history.

A native of Shrewsbury, Mass., Beall worked as a counselor at Nike Lacrosse Camps in 2010. She also spent three summers (2011-13) as an inventory department intern with the EMC Corporation.


Chris Grautski
Strength & Conditioning Coordinator

Chris Grautski begins his first year as the Assumption College strength and conditioning coach in 2016. The College's first full-time strength and conditioning coach, he served as an assistant coach for the Hounds football program for the previous three seasons.

Certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Grautski worked as the strength and conditioning coordinator with a number of Assumption programs prior to his new position.

Grautski begin his strength and conditioning career in 2008-2009 at the College of the Holy Cross underneath Jeff Oliver, where he worked with football, field hockey, men's basketball, men's ice hockey and men's lacrosse.

At Assumption, Grautski coached a number of All-Region defensive linemen with Mike Stuppiello, Emanuel Riggins, Khalid Pitts and Derrick Mann. Mann was a finalist for a number of national defensive awards and was named as the New England Division II Defensive Player of the Year.

Grautski came to Assumption from nearby WPI, where he served as the program's defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator for two seasons. While at WPI, he was the strength and conditioning coordinator for nine of the school's intercollegiate sports. Prior to that, he led the defensive line and coordinated the strength and conditioning efforts at Fitchburg State University.

No stranger to Worcester area football, Grautski was a four-year starter on the defensive line at Worcester State and two-year captain for the Lancers. He graduated from Worcester State in '09 with a degree in health science and received his master’s from Fitchburg State University in leadership and management.
